Nice to hear from your corner of the world. Sorry I misspoke about your
service, but without your contribution to the list (and have I missed your
magazine advertisements?), sort of -out of sight, out of mind I guess. Your
post is not the first time someone has had to remind me Stag Specialists is
still in existence. I would think that with over 1500 customers, more of the
people on this list in the USA would be referring me to your quite large
facility, more often as THE USA Stag spares supplier??, and the great work you
have done in keeping the Stag name and car on the road. Now that we know that
your expertise is lurking behind the scenes, how about the benefit of your years
of Stag know-how so that we novices don't need to guess? There WAS once that
you offered your opinion, from what I hear, it was quite valued.
Just to clear the air, the 100 Stags rumor did not come from me, never said it,
especially since Mike Coffey has about 100 running in his club from
time-to-time. My guess (S.W.A.G.) is somewhere over 200 running, maybe 500
recoverable/restorable (not including your immense inventory), but that is just
my guess, in my humble opinion, since no one else seems to give a care to
propose any real evidence, or support Stag showings at club events or Triumph
shows. Fortunately, there is an east coast Triumph Stag Club trying to keep the
Stag name alive in the USA. Others who have more expertise than me on Stags say
800 or more remain. With over 1500 customers, one half of the US import market,
why is it so difficult to get even 10 Stags to show up at any show or British
Car event? Could it be that Stag owners are too good to show their cars?
