No, it wasn't you with the Piranha.

This guy had an early Stag with the early tacho, but Lumenition worked fine
on his car for years.

When he phoned Rimmers for a new Lumenition control unit they told him the
Piranha kit was cheaper, so he bought a complete kit and fitted it. 
Needless to say the tacho did not work except for the occasional 'turbo
flutter'!

After countless phone calls and returned parts to Rimmers and Piranha, he
got his money back and bought a new Lumention control unit as he had wanted
to on day one.  Tacho now works fine again.  I'm not impressed with
Piranha.
