You have a crack or leak-by somewhere between the fuel bowls and the
carb body. Could be that the threads around the jets are
stripped, or that the crack is in this area. Could also be the aluminum
washer for the needle valve is cracked or missing, or a missing
or cracked "O" ring, or leaking past the jet assembly. In any case, it
is tearing apart the CD-175's and rebuilding them with new
parts. There are several manuals specifically for the Zenith Stromberg
CD series carbs, buy one!
