Speakers

Hello all,

In addition to coachwork restoration, I am applying TLC to the dash and
woodwork.  Since everything is apart, I think that it is past time to fill
the hole in dash where a radio once lived but which is now gaping forlornly.

The existing speakers are located in the back, at about elbow height, just
above the pockets in the panel which backs onto the soft top stowage
compartment.  This panel seems quite flimsy and not the normal solid
surface within which one would normally mount speakers.

Can anybody suggest the best location for speakers?
