Hi All
Two things
One, I mistakenly added Unipart Type "G" fluid to my Borg Warner Automatic
tranny, when handbook says type "A", and ROM says type "F"
I was looking for some more fluid, since my tranny leaks a bit (a lot) and
picked up a Bottle of Esso fluid in a Petrol Station to see what it said.
On the label it says Type "G" for use in Ford bright finished dipstick tubes,
and also IN "BORG WARNER" gearboxes and where ever type "F" is required!!!!!
The question is, Is what is true for Esso good for all other Transmission
Fluid Brands?
Two
The draught up my drivers door window, and in through the door pull is far
worse than on the passenger side.
The Door trim is really cold to the touch, but not on the passenger side,
where it's as one might expect?
I have sealed up the gaps around the hinges, so the air must come in through
the drain holes in the door. How else can it enter the cavity in the door
shell?
Anybody got any thoughts on this before my right leg freezes off?
