Hi all
Having seen Mike Wattams letter, he repeats more or less what I was told by
Tony Hart.
Tony also told me the hardness of the water pump drive gear should be 60
Rockwell. That means nothing to me i merely repeat it in case you get a
metallurgist to check the gear hardening. 
If you rebuild an old pump, then Tony suggests you look for the word Zephyr
on the gear shaft.
