E36 - Rough idle when starting

My 1994 325is (125k miles) is idling rough for the first few 
seconds after starting.  It only happens on cold starts.  As it's 
stumbling, I can press lightly on the accelerator and the engine 
will immediately smooth out.  I replaced the spark plugs about 3k 
miles ago and the fuel filter earlier this month.  Any suggestions 
where to look first?
