Ozone machines are indeed used for car cleanups occasionally, though not
as common as in home repair. Not just for cancer stick smoke, but for
other smoke and odor, such as mildew, and the sort. Unlike homeowner
claims, there aren't as many odor producing events in auto claims that
wouldn't total the car (flood, electrical fire, the occasional animal
dying inside, etc.).

I used to do property claims for State Farm.  Ozone treatment was
common and effective for smoke odor removal.  VERY effective.

Not sure if there would be an caveats with cars....
