we're about to replace the glow plugs in my wife's 1996 non-BMW (an MB
E300d). once they get past a certain age, they start getting a bit cranky.
right this minute, the car is hard to start and prone to stalling because
of the aged plugs.

i've got a set coming from rusty right now.

the older style of glow plugs (70s/80s) seem to last longer, the newer ones
seem more effective during their working lifespan.
