Hello All
This is just a "Thank You" to all that responded to my email about the
busted radiator on the 95 M3. Looks like I did not blow my head gasket. The
parts I ordered were the radiator, water pump(metal impeller), thermostat
and both belts(figure they might as well replace them while they were in
there). The mechanic said the water pump was broken(i saw it) which I guess
caused the radiator to blow off the hose and neck. The car is running great,
seems to be running better than before. I noticed this morning though that I
am getting a check coolant message on the obc display which I did not get
for the first two days after picking up my car. I did not see any leaks. I
will add a little coolant see if that takes care of that (little below the
cold mark).
Special thanks goes to Hans Conser who referred me to import parts
specialist link (www.importpartsspec.com)which saved me $140 (the place that
i ordered my parts from gave me a price match guarantee and refunded me the
difference).
p.s. for those of you with e36 replace the water pump as soon as possible.
it will save you a lot of headache and $$$
