WD40 on paint

That car-care online site may be a bit self-serving. There seems to be a
bit of snobishness about using a product as common as WD40, but I can tell
you from 30 years of experience that it is completely harmless to paint.
The solvent in it is Stoddard Solvent, a petroleum product also used as
charcoal lighter, that is much, much gentler than citrus oil. Sounds
backwards, but it's true. Go to your hardware store and look at the citrus
paint removers.
