Ask the dealer to provide you with ANY other explanation as to what could
have caused the symptoms that both yourself AND THEIR ROADSIDE SERVICE
person experienced - if they have no other alternatives, common sense
dictates that it MUST, therefore, be a warranty issue (unless they can prove
otherwise!) - suggest that they might wish to consider it a "goodwill"
exercise, in respect of keeping you as a future customer, if all else fails
... if they still give you crap ('scuse the "french"!), call BMW America and
ask them if they think that this is "fair & reasonable" customer service (I
would expect this level of "stupidity" from most other dealership brands,
but have personally found that BMW dealers have usually gone the extra mile
in similar situations.
