Grant,
If you happen to be talking about me and my recent opinions regarding the
convertibles at driver schools issue and the article about them in the
recent Roundel then please say so instead of making a blanket statement.
For your information, my chapter (New Jersey) board has met numerous times
to discuss this issue and we have formed a written policy banning all
convertibles from our schools. This policy has been in place for years and
long before I became President of the chapter. Yes, the opinions I wrote
about the Roundel article were my own and yes, I did sign the post with my
name followed by my member # and position in my chapter. I did this to
tell the kind folks on the digest that I wasn't a newbie shooting my mouth
off without having any club experience. I have served as Chapter V.P.,
Treasurer, Member at Large, Driving Events Chair, and now President and
Chapter Club Racing Scrutineer. I feel I have worked hard and will
continue to work hard for the members of my chapter and I take my
responsibilities seriously. I think it was obvious to everyone but you
that I was giving my own opinions and not speaking for the 1800 members of
the NJ chapter.

Is this better or am I now speaking for all the Bubbas?
