Coolant Expansion Tanks

I'm in the process of reviewing the July price tape changes and it appears
that BMW dropped the price (25-30%) of the common (E30,E28,E23,E24,E32 and
E34) expansion tanks just in time for summer (the 323i tank went up 40%).
List price for most tanks is now only $56.00...with dealer discounts, you
should expect to pay around $45.00.
The plastic threads on the tank where the coolant sensor screws in are prone
to wear often making it difficult to get a new coolant sensor (with fresh
o-ring) to screw on tightly.  If rethreading the top doesn't work, you'll
have to replace the tank.  Keep the new (lower) price in mind before
purchasing.  SD
