Dear all,
Please understand me lady and gentleman. I just want only the
understanding in me.
Mr Dan post his item for sale on bmw-digest V4 #796(07-02-96)
for his M3 parts and I asked him about that.
My first email asked him about the condition of it. Mr Dan told
me that he was offered from another guy but that guy needed to wait for
several weeks.
My second email from his, he said that he's collecting dust and
waiting for the best offering( he was asking for $375 for his spoiler).
Fine. No problem. I asked for the color because I need to remove the old
paint and repaint his M3-front-spoiler and offered him for $375 if it is
silver. The new item from BMP is $486.12 and it's ready for painting.
The third email, I asked him for a scratch or any damage on his
spoiler, because I didn't see it. Some scratch on it. Fine. Then I asked
for how can I pay him because I think COD will charge him and I prefered
to prepaid by my personal check to make it easier, quicker and save our
money. He offered the COD because he said that if I can inspect it
before I pay for it. Fine. But who's gonna pay for shipping/handling.
Both of Mr Dan and me won't get anything if I didn't take that spoiler
but UPS will be happy for two-way shipping. Also, I told him that it's
unfair for him to pay for the shipping too.
The forth email from me, I sent to him because while we were
dealing, Mr Dan reposted the same item on the list. Then I asked him
that he still has it or not.
My fifth email related to the painting and old-paint removal
from my local body shop. I told him that the price for old-paint remocal
and repaint vs I remove old-paint by myself and let body shop paint it
is not much different($200 vs $180) because my body-shop told me that he
won't sure that I'll do old-paint removal correctly or not. However, the
price foe painting on the one is only $100.
Therefore, I sent him another email and ask him for $300.00
because I think it's fair enough. I need to pay $200 for painting for
his spoiler. THe total price of his spoiler would be $500.00. Comparing
to the new one from BMP, $486.12+$100 = $586.12. But the later one is
new. Even the used one is not much different from the new one, but who
can tell the condition when I get it? Based on the sixth email from me,
he said that "Let him see where the other folks go, if my offer is the
most reasonable offer, then he'll do it. I should know within a few
days.".
Fortunately, while I was surfing on the net at that time, I
found the used spoiler from wreaked M3 at the price of $200.00.
Therefore, I sent him an email to say sorry and hope that he could sell
his item soon. He just said "Best of Luck" to me on July-3-96.
One more thing, every email that he sent to me, he always said
that "keep in touch" and "Let him know what I'm thinking". Didn't I
follow his messages?
I don't understand why Dan mention about me in his message on
the list. What is a bit unconventional, Dan? Mr.Dan post his items
without any information. Then I sent him an email. Infact, several
emails to ask him for information and negotiation.
Lady and Gentleman, I couldn't see Pat today to show him a
message that I got from the list. I mean, all of the message that I got
from Mr.David and someone elses who mentioned to me. In my humble
opinion, I didn't reply any message that related to me on the list. I,
however, replied them personally because I think it isn't related to BMW
stuff. Even someone mentioned about our country. Fine. Frankly, I don't
understand that what is the point that we join in this list. Full of
thread that didn't related to BMW. Mention to the third party that
didn't related to their deal. I know that I was wrong when I mentioned
about the fair-price of M3 wheels because I need the fairness and I
apologize for that. Please, lady and gentleman, come back to our issue
of owner-BMW-digest. Please.
One more thing, Do you think the way that I do the business with
Dan is the same as Pat did with David?
Sorry for the long message.
Your Sincerely,
CyberPOP
