Re: [bmw] 528e seat cushion replacement

Mike,

Check around with BMW dealers who discount parts to BMWCCA members (20% or more). For example, Tischer/Mile One in Silver Spring, MD is where I buy parts.

Also, check with these guys:

http://www.partsforbmws.com/

They are very reliable, and their prices are good. They are also a good source for European -only BMW parts.

Besides, if you plan to keep the car for awhile, think about this: you won't need to replace them ever again. So, if you can get both cushions for around $100, and spend an afternoon working on the seat, that's a reasonable price for a repair. An upholstery shop will charge more than that.

Thanks for your replies. I checked with the dealer--$120 for just the
bottom seat cushion--ouch! I may still get it, but there are probably other
things that should take precedence.

I appreciate your help.
