[bmw] installing chrome instrument rings on 2003 325 Xi

I have a set of chrome rings to install around my panel gauges, but I'd
rather not pay someone else to install them. How easy is it to do it myself?
Will I mess up my gauges by opening the panel front?
Any advice on how to do this job??
