[bmw] E36 328ic Tire/ Wheel change
Currently I have 205/60/15's on my convertible and I have a new set of 16"
wheels coming. I plan to put 225/55/16's on them as my speedo is always off
by the usual 3-5 mph and this should get it closer to correct speed.
I know that usually you would use a 225/50/16 but that will keep the wheel
diameter the same and I want to increase the diameter just slighter to
correct this problem. Thoughts?
Also I have been looking at the Tire Rack and have been considering the
Kumho 712's as the best overall tire for flat land Florida with no need for
all season. I have ContiTourings on the car now with 15" wheels and they are
fine but wanted to consider other ideas. This is a no track car so good
tires with low noise if desired. By the way I have an M-3 which had the
Michelin Sports on them and replaced them with the correct size Kumho Esta
712's and they are a wonderful tire for the money. Opinions welcomed.
By the way if anyone is interested in the 4 15" BMW spoke wheel and
ContiTouring tires (75% tread left), let me know. I live in the Panhandle
but can drop them off most anyplace in Florida.
Thanks
