Richard,
I removed the blower in the process of replacing the heater core and it was
pretty straight forward. Per the manual, to get to it you will have to
remove the A/C drier, loosen the false firewall enough to move it about an
inch forward, remove the evaporator (just lifts out after mounting screws
are removed), as well as the windshield wiper motor. While you are in
there, I would replace the supply and return hoses to the heater core. Mine
were falling apart. Also, I have kept my blower working with copious
amounts of lubricant applied to the busing on the small end.
