It's not an idiosyncrasy. Door handles that no one can figure out, are idiosyncrasies, power window switches on the roof console are idiosyncrasies, a lame 2nd gear shift that is easily solved by lightening the gears is a design flaw.Alfa boxes are what they are. How about appreciating the rest of the car and allowing these wonderful machines this small idiosyncrasy.
