Transaxel mounts are mostly the cause of such clunks. Its probably the front one as the back one is a hanger-type mount and they just sag and don't usually make noise. When mine started to clunk, it was on acceleration from a standing start. My mechanic tightened the front mount and the clunking stopped. But both the rear transaxel mount and the rear moto mount on my car have sagged and need replacing. Its just not a priority at this moment.

Doug,

I think it could be the dedion bushing (needs to be tightened)or the
rear transmission mount. I suspect a loose dedion bushing bolt.
