Alfa was busy in putting money on EU advertising :)
I remember (and also kept on VHS) some TV adv for the AR75.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
There was one about the TS (and other version mentioned as well)
that you see some dark atmosphere desert scene. The 75 is there
and they are revving w/ pushing and releasing fastly the clutch
probably holding brakes... so that you see the tail moving up and
down like being ready for an assault. Then powerslides all around.
Slogan was "Alfa 75, SCELTA DI POTENZA" (=Power choice)
Then anoter that you see IMSA or TCI version coming into a corner
and "rearending" a standing stock version. With an image effect the
red racing car gets "inside" the normal one that takes off (the
red one disappear), like witnessing the racing breed there's laying
under every alfa on sale.
Fantastic stuff. I got a VHS full of that, also the "making of" some
advs. A masterpiece of my video collection ;)
