re: gtv6 speedo sender.

In case you are like I was and had a tough time finding the speedo sender,
look underneath the car at the transaxle. There should be a black loom
runnning to a connector at the housing. Simply undo the set screw/bolt (11mm
or something like that) and pull the sender out. Very little muss. after
disconnecting it, you can attach a drill to the little spindle and buzz it one
way or the other to see if it makes the speedo go. As Brian says, the speedo
probably won't be the problem. You're looking for a pulsed signal, so a
regular DVM won't do to check electrical. It would also behoove you to check
the contacts and physical cable, of course. There's info on gtv6.org on
disassembling it and reassembling it, too, basically involves dremelling the
outside seal ring off and rehabbing the thing before reassembling with a hose
clamp. Expect to cut about 1+mm of metal thickness.

Cheers, hth,
Darren
