re: need help 156 1.8 TS

I am stateside and have been here long enough not to have any experience with
156's. But in the August 2002 issue of the Danish AR Club's Magazine, there is
a review of the 156. It says that the first couple of years, there were
problems. The Bosch engine management program worked very poorly on some
examples. Especially when starting cold and at idle, it could be very annoying
(or embarrasing) to sit in a new car that would at first cough and choke to
get started and then wouldn't idle.

A 2000 model wouldn't really qualify as "the first years", but the described
problem sounds very similar.
