Divergent front toe update
Thank you, Richard, I thought so, about the setting, and that's exactly how
it feels.
To explain;
The regular Biturbo, (RWD) is set with toe-in in both front and rear.
The S (RWD) is set with toe-out in the front and almost double toe-in in the
rear. The cars are identical structurally except for stiffer suspension and
slightly less ground clearance for the S.
I always felt the car was a bit edgy on braking and lifting off the gass in a
turn felt worse than expected. I also run wider rear track than original.
Changing lanes happens instantaneously though.
In a turn it feels like the car is biting with understeer initially, then the
rear gets into play and the car almost travels on a tangent to the curve.
My question adressed the track experience of anyone with RWD cars.
BTW, the Biturbo blew the original 1985 headgaskets, without cracking any
components and only slightly warping the heads. I did the repair myself, and
the total cost was around $ 800.
Any other comments about toe are wellcome. I appologize for the Biturbo
content, felt a clarification was necessary.
