Re: Has anyone heard of "Q12"

Hi Group:

I don't even have a car that needs R12, but I became curious from this discussion and did an 'R12' search on eBay. I was surprised to see lots of it for sale, and the prices were not all that bad. Of course, whether or not you really need an EPA cert. # to buy some is a bit of a gray area.

Actually "Q12" is the new 2 cylinder coupe from Infiniti. I believe it is a
derivative of the Subaru 360 with leather seats and a premium sound system.

There are alot of R12 substitutes on the market. I would spend some serious
web-surfing time to look for reliable, long-term test results before using
any of them. Then I would go for it, given the cost of the "real stuff."
