Re: Milano AC question - water temp.
Hi Alan,
The Milano does have issues with high engine temps, especially on hot
days with the A/C on.
You can take some basic preventive measures (in case you have not):
1-flush coolant (not with corrosive coolant flushers, running tap water
will do).
2-use a lower coolant/water mix (like 20/80 or 30/70) and use redline
water wetter.
3-Make sure to bleed coolant mix once you filled up the system
4-Make sure fan is running when temp is high, and running at full
strength (check battery and alternator, 14.0-14.4V).
5-Make sure thermostat is functioning properly.
6-Make sure radiator is not clogged
7-Run cooler set of plugs during the hot season, something like a GL
2HL or NGK BP7ES.
8-Install oil cooler (this is a good upgrade, regardless of what people
say about "8 quarts of oil" )
I think the Milano has problems with lack of air getting out. Thinking
of venting the hood a little.
Also my new EFI will control the fan and not the fan switch anymore.
