Battery Relocation

To relocate the battery in my GTV into the trunk I used a battery tray
from a Milano. I fastened the tray to the truck (In between the spare
tire well and the gas tank, It hangs over the spare tire just a little)
using flared nuts. These type of nuts flare out the first time you
tighten them down which holds them in place. They mimic nuts that are
welding to the chassis very nicely. They look really cool and are very
functional could almost pass for stock
Using this method it is very easy to remote the tray as opposed to
welding it in. I also choose the center location more for weight
distribuition. I am not sure however how I will deal with the truck
liner when I install that.
The other really cool thing about using the milano tray is that it hold
the battery down from the bottom. This eliminates the bracket that
wraps over the top and eventually corrodes away. Also I am using all
Afla parts for this project, well except for the battery-maybe I'll get
one of those Marelli batteries in the future.
