Window's down and it cant get up!

To any alfa window experts out there:  This morning my drivers power window
was down.  I pushed the up button, and it went up, but leaving about = inch
gap to the top.  So I rolled down a bit and rolled back up.  This time it only
went half way up.  Repeat stupid move, and next time only peeks out about an
inch over the door.  Repeat stupid move again and now is stuck in door.  The
window motor is going and cycling, but it seems to think the top edge of the
door is in the fully up position, like it is stuck in an opposite cycle.

I remember this happening once before, but it only went as low as half way
down.  I rolled it up and down a few times and it got “back on
track”  But this time its stuck.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance
