Re: 1985 GTV6, rebuild or not?



Thanks for the note, 'nardo.  I'm with you on the "why bother" 
attitude for the most part.  These cars are special as they came from 
the factory.

I'm not sure what happened to the cams, but I've heard that it's not 
too unusual for them to wear.  Is it possible for improper clearances 
to cause undue cam wear?  That's the only thing I can think of. 
Since I don't do that work on my car, I never know with certainty if 
the clearances are correct.  How about occasional hard driving?  I 
sure hope that wouldn't do it!
