Sorry I am late in responding.  Been out of the home quite a bit lately.

My Alfetta GT has the Ronal 15 x 7 wheels.  I am running 205/55 x 15
Dunlop W-10 tires.  Overall happy with the performance.  They can be a
bit noisy, and they are harder to steer than the 205/60x14 RE71R
Bridgestones that they replaced.  (Yes, I changed the wheels at the same
time.  I', not THAT much of a putz.)

I think 205/55 works out to nearly the same diameter as 185/70x14, the
stock size.

Few sizes available in 205/55 than 205/60 or 205/50, but enough choice
for me, thank you very much

I am curious to have some tire size suggestions for my
Alfetta GT. My car has 15 by 7 Ronal wheels. The tires
on rear are 215/60 s and rub the fender lip as the car
starts out. I am going to get new tires soon, so what
size tires and wheels are people using on their
alfetta gt's or I guess GTV6's
