Spitfire
About Biturbo, or Spitfire. I know, and won't start a Biturbo tread, will
just conservatively say that :
It can not only be bad, mine did me no wrong (repair -wise, cause this is
where the discussion is). The main source of parts MIE, is not that pleasant
of an experience, but alternatives exist, notably our friend "Bruce's Parts
bin" and AlfaBill can be of some help sometimes (has good prices on
Magnecores and such) and one really is not that often forced to buy body,
trim, accessories and such, where you have to use MIE.
I have no idea about Spitfire, but have adopted the following idea from the
VW circles: If you're gonna restore something, and then upgrade with
performance parts, why not begin with a "good platform", something that "out
of the box" has already decent HP.
Sorry for off-topic subject.
My 164 is doing well (should I be sorry that I finally got nothing to report
about it and the on-subject posting is so short? :o) .... )
