I've never had problems with the rear shocks in a Spider.
Nuts off the bottom are easy, two box wrenches, or box wrench and socket are
used to get the first nut off, box wrench with vice grips to loosen the
second nut, air socket to get the second nut the rest of the way off.
Undo the shock towers through the access panels from the passenger
compartment and pull the shock straight up.
It's a pretty straight forward job, most people miss the passenger
compartment access panels and try to remove the shocks via other means..
