Re: alfa-digest V8 #62 - Stubborn head



       Did you undo the two bolts that got up into the head from underneath 
the front cover?  If so, compressed air might help pop the head off.  Rope 
stuffed down the spark plug hole could help.  There is also a factory ( I 
think ) tool that screws into one or more spark plug holes and levers off the 
tops of the head studs to pry the head up.
       I have never had much trouble getting the head to come off.  The worst 
required that I get a big rubber hammer and beat it loose.  Of course, you 
need to get the intake and exhaust out of the road to swing the hammer.
