Windsheild wiper wiring and the dreaded PO

Actually, my cars previous owner was pretty good and hardly falls
under the "dreaded" heading. They did however seem to have a hard time
with the electronics... I dug out the wiring diagram and started
tracing wires. Found that the switch was wired all wrong and was
missing jumpers between three of the poles. I set it all to rights
this evening and now have a nice working two speed system! :) Thanks
to those that sent info on how the circuit works, i appreciate it and
the info was helpful.
