Re: Alfa return to the US

*Sigh* It seems like the same people who choose to believe the lunar landing
was a hoax and the mafia organized JFK's assisination, also believe the idea
that GM bought out Alfa, too.
So I won't remind anyone that GM and Fiat have a mutually-beneficial
business agreement together, not a buyout deal.
There was a lot of scepticism when Ford bought Jaguar and Aston Martin, and
now many years later those two English marques are infintely more reliable
and screwed-together better, and their sales records prove it. Ford's cash
supply is responsible for the improvements. And why not? Like any other
investment, wouldn't you want to understand the product and make it better?
Ford did this by supplying cash and making efficiency decisions, not
replacing product managers and engineers with its own kind.
> Alfas are not necessary purchases, they are big boy/girl toys.
GM's Corvettes aren't necessary purchases, either.
But you probably wouldn't understand product line strategy/structure and
concepts like flagship cars.
