RE: Rover 5 Speed in Stag?

presumably the prop shaft needs to be changed - are there any cars that
can act as a suitable donor or does one have to be custom made (or is
the stag one amazingly the right length!?)

what about transmission tunnel width - will a Rover 5 speed only fit in
a Stag that was originally an auto without cutting the tunnel - or is
the tunnel indeed the same whether the Stag was an auto or a manual??
(as you can probably tell, I don't actually own a Stag at the moment! :)

whilst I'm at it, do you know if anyone's done a conversion to the
Toyota Supra or later Rover (R380??) gearbox (these are supposed to mate
fairly well with a Rover V8, not sure if anyone will sell a bellhousing
suitable for the Stag V8 though)?
