I can't comment from experience on the first question but I would have
thought that most common parts were available from your local motor
store but be careful of copy oil filters which have a cardboard ring on
the top instead of a raised metal rim. The cardboard can become unglued
and move across to either block the oilway or allow oil to bypass the
filter.
Piranha or Luminition are a very common fitment on Stags and even the
purists admit that they are well worthwhile. No more points adjusting or
replacing, the timing remains spot on and you get a more powerful spark.
