Holley Carb

The plumbing for the Holley Carb is as follows:

There are three vacume take off pipes, two small and one large, the
large pipe, just to the rear next to the base mounting bolt this should
be blocked off, the small pipe under the front float camber should also
be blocked off, the pipe just behind the front float chamber next to the
choke unit should go to the distributor advance. There is also a link
pipe from the choke unit to the top of the carb body.

The only adjustment is idle speed and idle mixture, to set the idle
mixture turn the mixture screws, just behind the front float chamber,
one on each side, clockwise until the engine revs drop then turn back
half a turn, repeat this on both mixture screws. With the Holley carb
you should get a better idle than with the Strombergs, smaller the choke
size the smoother the idle, or so the theory goes, and you know what
they say about theory, it gives you something to reflect on when it all
goes wrong!!
