Oh Boy Henry,
	You have openened yourself for a bunch of opinions here, so I'll get mine in
real quick like.
	If I were going to put an oil pressure gauge in a Stag, I'd opt for the Dual
Sweep combination Water Temp/Oil Pressure gauge and replace the original Stag
temperature gauge. You can get the dual sweep gauge and temp sending unit from
XK's Unlimited in California, and Nossinger (sp?) in the North East.  The
advantage of this type of gauge is that it is calibrated with real numbers,
temperature (F or C) and pressure (PSI/kPa/Bar, or Torr for those Stags so
inclined to pull a vacuum ...kidding, just kidding!).  Last check on cost of the
dual gauge was about $125 - $135. You will need to locate a spot to install the
temperature bulb for the water temp.  There are a couple of options here: 1.
have your radiator specialist install the correct size threaded bulkhead into
the radiator at a cost of maybe $50; or 2. modify the cylinder head crossover to
accept the bulb.  #1 will give you a better average of water temp where #2 will
be biased to the side of the engine.  I'm told there is a Stag in California
with 8 water temperature gauges attached to various parts of the engine.  Talk
of being paranoid! 
	Mike Wattam cautions that installing an oil pressure gauge will develop the
"Stag Eye/Head Twitch" syndrome from constantly checking the oil pressure, but
as you say, you already have this symptom from driving other  TR's, so go for
it, the neck muscles are already conditioned.
	Most people installing an oil pressure gauge remove the clock and install the
oil pressure gauge there.  I happen to like the clock!
