Re: Rubber Components
Hi Phil,
Just my $0.02 if you are talking to your SOCTFL colleagues
If SOCTFL does decide to look at remanufacturing rubber components, then
I would suggest they first look at components that do not have
acceptable replacements.
For example poor quality gaiters to me would be a priority, whereas
bushes for the anti roll bar would be low as there are already poly
bushes around.
If I was a member of the UK SOC can I obtain a list of "recommended
parts" from the SOCTFL?
cheers

If you mean 619551 (2-off), Chris Witor has "Superflex" polyurethane
ones, his
part number is SPPF 338). Phone 01753 662905.

SOCTFL recommends the ones sold through SOC Spares Ltd, which are
definitely
reinforced. Phone 01622 891777. These may also be available from other
outlets,
just make sure you ask specifically for reinforced.

I'll take this up with my colleagues at SOCTFL and see whether anyone
has any
thoughts on this. When we've looked at this before, the problem has
always been to
find a company that will produce in low enough volume.
