Sorry, but CURRENT research here in the UK shows lead in the atmosphere is
static despite huge falls in use of lead in petrol - both amount of fuel
drawn from pumps and content of lead per litre.  It is coming from other
sources, yet the fashion remains to bash the car for all the worlds
problems and this simply isn't correct.

It has also been discovered that infant/childlead intake is from water
systems where it can be very high, not the atmosphere.  This is due to many
water pipes being made of lead, and unlined.

The above applies only to the UK, I am not up to speed on research in other
countries.
