That all sounds logical to me, except the bit about electrons
travelling faster when cold. Are you sure? I would've thought
higher temperatures meant less resistance and therefore
faster speed. But then I'm not a nuclear physicist.

I've tried a few mods to my headlamps over the years.
I once had all four wired to come on for Dip, but had so
many drivers flashing me I soon reverted to the outers
only. I took care to ensure they were correctly set, so 
presumed drivers seeing 4 lights automatically assume
you're on Main Beam even if you're not.

I also attempted to reduce the volt drop in the wiring to 
the headlamps. It was about about 1 volt as I recall.
I did it by running two heavy guage wires direct from the 
alternator to the headlights via relays mounted just behind them.

This reduced the volt drop to about half a volt and increased
the light output.

I can't help with the 1/2 vs. RH/LH argument I'm afraid.
In fact I'm still puzzling over BTSOOM.
Is it:-
1. Back To Square One, Old Mate.

2. Before This Starts Overwhelming Other Mortals.

3. Back To School On Our Moto-Guzzi's.

4. Brilliant Terrific Suggestion, (but) Only Opinions Matter
