Re: convertible top(hood) help?

Me too.
When the back part is lifted and clipped up the window is much wider than the
hole, so one has to try and stretch it round the back of the rear seat. My
window is made from thick clear plastic and its difficult to fold and
manipulate, especially when it has not been in the sun.

So this is how I do it.
Release rear catches and left front stick lever and left velcro.
From inside, unzip window, and fold in half, and use press studs on small
straps pressed onto mating bosses on frame rear rail.
Lift rear rail, taking care not to pinch Mark 1 sixth lights (which I have)
and clip.
Lift tonneau panel
Undo right front latch and velcro and lower whole assembly into well, easing
window over seat back. Notice how force changes as springs activate and
deactivate. Ignore springy sounds. Change sides as you go.
Seat front rail down into well.
Close tonneau.
If it won't clip shut, it is possible the hood has pulled the cable outer
tubing out of its adjuster ferrule on the left side. Ease it back in and try
again.
If it still will not shut, there may be a problem with the alignment of
tonneau catch pins and clips. They adjust.
If difficult to do it may need the cubby panels out with hood up and back
lifted to check their engagement.
The main thing is that really one has to unzip the window. It is a pain.
Phew
To put it up, release tonneau, lift it all out carefully, and lower tonneau on
empty well, do front catches together, then velcro then back clips, and back
rear rail catch last. Undo press studs and rezip window
Not the easiest hood in the world to work.
