The UK reconditioner of seat belts is;
Mr B. Davies
There are three types of seat belt fitted to the Triumph Stag on original
production. These were;
Type 1
Britax manufacturer. Central mount is one large housing fitted through
hole in handbrake housing to single bracket on body
Type 2
Britax manufacturer. Central mount is two housings fitted through hole in
handbrake housing to single bracket on body
Type 3
Kangol manufacturer. Each central mount is completely separate and fitted
to outside of transmission tunnel. These central mounts are also very
short.
However, many Stag seat belts have been changed as the cars have got older,
and often the 'stalk' belts (as fitted to ordinary cars) are fitted in
error. These have a long flexible steel cable core, so they are very high
up above the seat and are therefore often rather uncomfortable.
The first 3 types can be reconditioned by Mr Davies, he does a very good
job and is not too expensive.
