Peter, wishing to BEG your pardon.....
No, No, no, no, no, nO, NO!!!, and absolutely NO! Some basic physics here:
When things are really hot, everything is expanded. Torquing hot will actually
aid in loosening the stud and bolts. Why you might ask? After torqued,
everything will cool down and contract when the engine is turned off, aluminum
expands/contracts something like 3:1 to steel. When cool, the heads will have
contracted more than the steel bolts, leaving loosened nuts/bolts. Hot torquing
is done on race engines (some with all copper gaskets) that are torn down after
every race, not set-it-n-forget-it passenger cars. Torque your heads at ambient
air temperature, that is engine cold!
