Hi Scott
I have the original Radio which has one Mono speaker centre top of dash.
When I get around to doing the Sound system, I plan to fit two 4" woofers in
that hole, so that each one is tilted at about 30 degrees, forming a central
Vee. It may need some special brackets and plates made up.
In this way the sound will project onto the windscreen as now and reflect back
in stereo to the cabin.
Then I plan to mount two tweeters just under the end of the dash at each end,
pointing to the listener. They could be on top in the A post, screen dash top
corners. I don't know yet. Also they could be behind the fresh air vents,
leaving the vent fronts in place. They aren't really used anyway, the centre
vent is my Air conditioner.
But for the next three years or so I will stay with the mono. I like AM Radio
4 and talk Radio, also Virgin, Atlantic 252, and I the Reading Area and
Birmingham there is Classic gold, really good reception on my old Radiomobile,
so for now thats enough for me.
