Automatic gear shift handle

Hi Pelham,

I just dismantled my gear shift because it was seized-up solid (having not
been use for years). Both the handle and the locking collar are threaded. I
think the idea is to position the handle at the right position and then
tighten the collar against it. I guess the little hole in the collar was
originally designed so that a special tool could be used to tighten it.
