If you DIY helicoils in the heads, it is prudent to use a tapping block to
make sure the helicoil tap is perpendicular to the surface of the head. Use a
small metal block, and with a drill press, drill a hole sufficient to allow
the tap to pass through. When you tap the head, hold the plate firmly against
the head and tap through the tapping block. I had to re-tap mine as the
"machine shop" in Arizona had not used a tapping block, and bolts went in like
porcupine quills! Mike Moore
