Water pump Query

Sorry the water was coming from the wrong place, I know of many who have
made this diagnosis before you.  It can also be confused with leaks from
the inlet manifold gaskets - this can occur if the heads are not correctly
aligned.

Only other advice is to check the water pump skew gear teeth very carefully
for wear - if good recondition this with new gland, seals and bearings.  Do
not fit a complete assembly as there are a lot of water pumps about with
soft teeth which wear out in a few miles and send shards of steel all over
your lovely engine....................
